 D.C. finds itself at a post-pandemic inflection point. Once a bustling emp
 loyment center\, since 2019 Downtown D.C. has faced an outflow of office w
 orkers in response to remote and telework trends\, reducing the total numb
 er of workers to 55%-65% of pre-pandemic levels. Downtown has not added ne
 arly enough visitors and residents to offset the loss of day-to-day activi
 ty\, which has resulted in rising office and retail vacancies and declinin
 g tax revenues. Recent actions by the new administration have made the fed
 eral footprint\, once the bedrock of the regional economy\, feel more like
  quicksand.\n\nJoin the George Washington Chapter of Lambda Alpha Internat
