DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, November 19 at noon\, LAIGW heard from Adam Gooch\,
  Project Manager at Akridge\, about the new mixed-use project being develo
 ped at Buzzards Point.  The Stacks is a transformative 6+ acre developme
 nt that encompasses two city blocks bounded by V Street\, T Street\, First
  and Second Streets SW. The two-million-square-foot\, mixed-use developmen
 t will redefine residential living on DC's Southwest Waterfront. It will c
 reate a neighborhood with lively but approachable street life that feels a
 ltogether different. Inspired by some of the District's most storied neigh
 borhoods\, The Stacks will stand out along the waterfront as a more livabl
 e\, pleasant\, and walkable neighborhood designed to suit modern living ta
 stes and preferences. The Stacks will offer panoramic views overlooking th
 e confluence of the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers\, National Airport\, and 
 Virginia. It will also include an urban park\, landscaped plazas\, unique 
 art programs\, and pop-up exhibits that invite visitors to linger and retu
